Mississauga, ON – More than 60 Alectra Utilities employees stepped up to brave the cold temperatures to raise money and awareness for local charities serving people experiencing hurt, hunger, and homelessness.
This year, the Alectra Utilities’ team participated in the ‘Coldest Night of the Year’ walk raising over $10,000 in support of the cause across eight communities. Employees walked in Barrie, Brampton, Guelph, Hamilton, Markham, Mississauga, Richmond Hill, Vaughan.
Alectra has supported the ‘Coldest Night of the Year’ event annually through employee participation and as a sponsor. The fundraising initiative is a moment each year when tens of thousands of Canadians step outside the warmth and comfort of home to shine a light of compassion in their communities.
