- Made investments to enhance reliability to strengthen and modernize our grid.
- Donated and invested $750,000 to Georgian College over the next 5 years for the construction of an 8,000 square foot Advanced Technology, Innovation and Research centre at its Barrie Campus.
- Donated a decommissioned Alectra substation to Mohawk College to be used as a new energy and power utilities lab. It is currently an education centre for more than 200 Engineering and Technology students to learn about utility equipment in an authentic working environment.
- 4 powerline maintainers volunteer instructed at Conestoga College (Ingersoll Training Facility) Powerline Pre-Trade Program for First Nations Communities. They led an intensive eight-week program for students from six First Nation communities that taught them the power line trade. This program also assisted with Northern Ontario’s 26-month transmission project that will link Wawa to Thunder Bay.
